This IS very much ride related!

Rincon Recon

Rule #1) The mag 5 always has impeccable timing, unless we are running late.
I pulled up to the kernville coffee shop at the exact same minute as Dangry-Tigert-El Prez and Wayneium. Coffee was weak but the poached eggs were strong.
(My vainglorious bike has TWO carburetors!)

Rule#2) The mag 5 is unanimous in dissension.
The only info we had on the rincon trail was that weenies on TT thought it was a really hard trail that made grown me cry. We arent grown men, we are THE MAG5! So off we went.
The TT guys were right, its a legit ass buster.

Rule#3) The mag5 never kicks other team members with moto boots, unless they talk back.

Rule#4) Mag 5 doesent ever give up, unless its over. Or we hit deep snow. Mag5 will take the Rincon in 2010!

Sad Day

If you felt a disturbance in the Mag5, it's because I sold Mr. CRF this weekend. It marks the first time in 30 years, I have not personally owned a dirt bike. Through Uncle Honda, I will be able to borrow a bike in the interim, but I still somehow feel the loss.

Subaru Outback Replaces F-150

It is a sad day again in Detroit. I traded in my Ford F-150 SCrew for 2010 Subaru Outback 3.6R.

I needed something that I could park downtown, bomb to the ski slopes, throw a mountain bike in the back, and also schlep Olivia and all of her entourage. I think this is going to be a great "car" and will be around until I basically shoot it.

The cool thing about electronics, is that they trickle the aftermarket stuff that works to the OEM components. Take for example the iPod sync with the stock headunit. This was a $1,400 aftermarket upgrade in 2006. Now that this is standard with the Navi option, it actually makes sense to buy the stock stuff! Well almost....its still doesnt play DVDs while I drive (like the Ford tough unit), but I guess I will have to survive.

Nice comfy interior seats with cool LED interior lights...
